Each member brings unique expertise, experience, and enthusiasm to our mission of protecting and celebrating the avian diversity of the Carolina Bight. Meet the individuals who make our work possible!

Jenn Clementoni

Jenn Clementoni is the Executive Director of The Carolina Bight Birding Center and SC Lowcountry Master Naturalist, is a full time resident of Saint Helena Island along with her husband John.

 

She has served as a Board Member for SC Lowcountry Master Naturalists, Fripp Island Audubon Club and The Friends of Port Royal Cypress Wetlands. Her volunteer service includes providing free educational tours and presentations to students, International Shorebird Surveys, Christmas Bird Counts and is a member of the volunteer Sea Turtle Patrol team on Harbor Island.

 

An accomplished bird photographer, she is also consistently amongst the top 5 ranked birders in Beaufort County. Over the span of 5 years, she has sighted 280 species in The Lowcountry, including many rare birds such as a Crested Caracara, Western Tanager and Philadelphia Vireo. Her passion for educating people about our feathered friends is infectious and inspiring.

 

Jenn’s favorite bird is the Painted Bunting, because it’s as if a living rainbow came to life.
